| Reading is the first way to listen, and thus to learn. The books of Fr. Giussani, born of his continuous reflections on an experience, are the fundamental instruments of the life and education of CL, and examples of new judgments born of faith. In Italy, Fr. Giussani’s books are published principally by Rizzoli, but also by Edizioni San Paolo, Marietti, Sei, and Piemme.

Beginning in November, the rich heritage of literature that made up the collection entitled “i libri dello spirito cristiano” [Books of the Christian Spirit] published by the Italian publisher Rizzoli, will be re-proposed in order to keep it alive as an educative means for new readers.

The “Spirto Gentil” music series, begun in 1997, has released over forty CDs. The idea of giving life to this initiative came from the need, manifested by many, for an “introduction to music” that is not exclusively analytic; this widespread method, in fact, often runs the risk of forgetting the “surplus” of artistic experience, that is, the unexpected surprise that can happen when listening to a piece of music that is directly informed by the ultimate meaning of existence and of history.

and Spanish) with an introductory note
